Multi-City Tour Highlights
Beautiful person,
You know, some days just stay with you…
Have you ever stood in a room where you don’t hear, but FEEL the sound?
Over the past weeks, I stepped into a multi-city Tour opening for Eek-A-Mouse in NL and if you were there, you know everyone else missed something…
Accompanied by Jahvolution
Insanely talented Surinamese musicians who carry reggae, dancehall and frankly any Caribbean genre and more, so smooth and effortlessly! They have backed legends across Europe, South America, Jamaica and still play with so much passion.
Then the sound. Honestly, it is such a delight to sing when nothing is clashing, everything was coming out so crisp, warm and spacious thanks to Stage99. There were moments where I could feel the entire room breathing with us.
It made me enjoy it so much that I literally stayed up in the air, and the audience was right there with me.
Meeting Eek-A-Mouse added an entire layer on its own. In contrast to the fragments that sometimes circulate online… This man is actually so warm, grateful, completely himself (no filter, yes) but generous and full of stories.
It was an honour to witness the man behind the Legend and to discover that so many of my childhood mixtape memories, were actually coloured by samples of his voice, starting with that famous laugh! “Ehehehe” what!
Having experienced this tour, is definitely something to tell my grandkids about one day…
But first, we have more memories to make!
In spaces that value real music & connection.
